Fashion trends that should stay in 2016

Posted on Updated on

Woah Its 31st already. I had to post this before 1st. Fashion trends which were celebrated a lot in 2015, many adorable to not so adorable, we saw them all. This post is about those adorable trends, which should stay in 2016. We can’t bid b’bye to these. Never!

Well, many stylistas are discussing about what trends were hot in 2015, we will not talk about 2015 anymore even if it was an incredible year for me and I am sure for most of ya all reading this. But past is past, let us welcome 2016 with zeal and Joy. I wonder why do people celebrate new year when it is an year less from lifespan, yeah curse me for being pessimist but isn’t it true, we are getting older. But after thinking for a while, I came to a conclusion that it is a good thing that we human celebrate even in despair and see the optimistic side to everything. Life is all about perspective after all. So here I chuck Pessimist part of my brain and welcome a new year of dreams, success, Prosperity, health, Joy and more with a smile. Wishing the same for you.

Lets come back to Fashion/style trends. The most celebrated Trends this year according to me were-

  1. Fringes
  2. Tapered/wide leg Trousers or Palazzo pants
  3. crop tops
  4. co-ords
  5. High knee boots
  6. vests
  7. shirt dress
  8. Plaids
  9. Mini Skirts
  10. Ripped/Distressed Boyfriend Jeans
  11. Joggers/baggy pants
  12. Cape
  13. Double breasted coats
  14. Peasant tops

Not so adorable trends

  1. Culottes
  2. Leg warmers
  3. Car wash Hemlines
  4. Beanies
  5. Sweatshirt dress
  6. Turtlenecks

This is all I could think of for now. For some reason, Culottes are tricky. Leg Warmers were seen on runway in NY Fashion week this year.

For some, Turtlenecks are good, for me, it is not so good, it feels uncomfortable and looks pathetic on me. same goes with beanies.

Car wash Hemlines? seriously! Not a fan!

My picks for Trends which should come back in 2016 and stay with us for long are-

Fringes should definitely stay with us in 2016. Dresses, bags, shoes, tops all were seen with fringe details in 2015 making it one of the hottest trend of the year. Same goes to crochet and Frayed details, Be it Kimono or crop top, they made us rock our boho look in spring and summer and so why ditch these impeccable style.

❤ I Love Joggers and i would love them to stay and accompany us on casual day out to holidays.

Plaids and mini skirts : Need i say more about them, they are loyal since decades for preppy and classy girly look.

Other style/fashion trends that should stay are:

capes and coords

shirt dresses

Knee high boots

Tapered wide leg pants

Shirt dress

That is all for now. Take care.

Thank you dear. 🙂 I love plaids on skirts and bags sometimes. Scarlett O hara is one of my favourite character, needless to mention the movie was an epic. In fact there is so much to learn from her, I wanted to write a post about her.
