I was not able to fit “Crunchy potato stuffed egg balls” into any category. Hence, it took me a while to name it, it somewhat fits to dumplings as it is basically a egg filled with mashed boiled and then fried potato,and small pieces of refined flour dough wrapped around it.I have scooped out the yellow egg yolk part after boiling egg considering the high cholesterol content of the yolk.
About these balls-The potato and egg go well with each other. I wrapped small long and thin pieces of refined flour dough around it and then fried, this addition gives a crispy and crunchy touch to the whole thing. It will be a good snacks for your tea time and a new thing to serve your guest.
So here we go,
- Egg – 1 boiled
- Boiled mashed potato-1
- salt to taste
- All purpose flour- 1/2 cup
- A pinch of Baking powder
- A pinch of pepper powder
Boil egg, cut into half , scoop out the yellow yolk part from it.keep it aside.
Boil potato, mash it and the fry it, add salt and pepper powder.keep it aside.
Take flour and add a pinch of baking powder, Make dough, take small portion of dough and flatten it with the help of rolling pin, cut small thin long pieces (2 cm wide and 5 cm long approx.) with knife.
- Take the egg and fill potato.
- wrap the thin pieces of refined flour we cut before around the egg such that it covers the open end .
- Heat oil in pan and fry till golden brown.
- Serve hot.
