Cabbage is widely used all across the world for its health benefits. It comes cheap, tastes good and is low in calories and rich in vitamins and minerals. This veg recipe is easy, quick and healthy, it requires few minutes and tastes delicious because of the spicy fillings. you may either bake it on Tawa or oven. Made it today and was satisfactory, a must try.
Makes 4 wraps. prep. time:20 mins cooking time:5 mins.
Ingredients for the wrap:
1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. of baking powder
1 tablespoon of Oil
salt to taste.
Ingredients for the filling:
-Fresh Cabbage cut into fine pieces.
-Chopped chilli- 2
-Grated ginger- 1 tsp.
-Grated potatoes- 1
-soya sauce- 1 tsp.
-salt to taste
-pepper powder- 1/2 tsp.
-Chili sauce- 1 tsp.
-Tomatoes finely cut into small pieces- 1
-Raisin (optional) This gives a great spicy sour and sweet flavor to the filling.
- Make smooth and soft dough of flour using all the ingredients for wrap except oil.
- Keep it aside.
- In a pan heat oil and fry all the vegetable till they are well cooked. Add soya and chili sauce,pepper powder,salt and Raisins.
- Now take dough, divide into 4 equal small portions and roll it into a circle, keeping it slightly thick, stuff the fillings and seal at the sides.
- Now on tawa, bake it on low heat and serve it hot.
