This will take you just half an hour, trust me! Easy to make, healthy to eat and delicious and mouth watering option for evening snacks, this snacks is like the street food popular in India called, aloo tikki chaat. chaat is a popular street food of India, it tastes spicy, sour and sweet.i have just given it a twist by adding more of soya chunks to the cutlets and less of potatoes, it tastes all the same, so do not hesitate to give this relishing snack a try! Here is the recipe for soya chunk cutlets with curd-


you will need-

For 3 people

  1. 1 medium sized boiled potato
  2. 1 cup boiled soya chunks
  3. 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  4. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  5. salt to taste
  6. chilli powder 1/2 tsp or 2 finely chopped chillies
  7. 1 cup cornflour for coating
  8. oil
  9. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

For topping

  1. curd 2 cup
  2. chopped onion 1 medium sized
  3. chopped coriander leaves
  4. pepper powder
  5. chilli flakes or chopped green chilli
  6. black salt
  7. 1 cup pomegranate seeds
  8. sev 1 cup


Mash the boiled potatoes and soya chunks/nuggets. Add ginger garlic paste,salt to taste, 1/2 tsp of pepper powder,cumin powder and chilli powder.Mix them well together. Now make small round balls and flatten them with hands, keep it a bit thick, coat the cutlets well in cornflour powder.

Heat oil in a frying pan and place the cutlets on the pan, use as little oil as possible. you can also bake these cutlets. Fry them till each side turns golden brown.

Once you have all your cutlets, serve them by topping them with curd, pepper powder, pomegranate seeds, coriander leaves, black salt, chopped onions, sev and chilli. You can also add chopped tomatoes if you want!
